GoT Season 8 Official Trailer!

It’s Finally Here! The Season 8 Trailer

The Season 8 Trailer is finally here and it's action-packed. We saw a few seconds of at least every major character we care about, and some even twice. If you haven't watched it yet, click the link above and then see my breakdown below. Trailer spoilers ahead!

The trailer opens with Arya alone and covered in dirt and possibly blood. Something has scared her and she seems to be running for her life through the halls of Winterfell. Perhaps she's come upon the army of the dead while others are asleep? At this point, it's anyone's guess. The ominous voice over of Arya saying she can't wait to meet this new face of death gives me shivers.

We also know that Jaime makes it to Winterfell and hopefully helps the army of the living against the White Walkers and help him gain some respect from the others. Sure, he pushed children out of windows and whelped Joffrey but he's done good things too. While he did break his vow against his king, you totally can't blame Jaime for killing the Mad King. And once he meets Brienne and figures out what Cersei really is, he decides to join his brother and leave Cersei.

Greyjoy ships are landing. I'm guessing they are Euron Greyjoy's ships with the sellsword company, The Golden Company. Cersei said at the end of last season that she would rely on them to fight Dany and Jon if they survive the White Walkers. One shot of Cersei has Qyeburn standing near her while she has a smirk on her face (possibly when Euron and the sellswords land) but in a later shot she is in the throne room by herself with her token wine glass and it looks like there are tears in her eyes. Maybe she's finally realizing she is crazy and she was the main factor in her family's demise. And how she pushed away the one person who truly loved her and stood by her no matter what.

Missandei and Grey Worm have a passionate kiss, Gendry builds armor and swords, Ser Davos walks the walls of Winterfell, and Sansa and Arya both see the AMAZING dragons. Sam and Bran are nervous to tell Jon the truth about his parents. We also see Tormund, so he must be alive!

There are many scenes of Jon and Dany arriving at Winterfell, in the crypts of Winterfell (perhaps after Jon learns the truth), and then my favorite shot as they both walk towards the dragons with purpose! I want Jon to ride Rhaegal but I don't want that to cancel out Ghost. We better see that direwolf before the end.

Bran also has a voiceover saying, "Everything you did put you where you are now. Where you belong. Home." Is he saying this to Dany, Jon, Arya, Sansa? It really could be anyone.

We have a month to dissect this trailer over and over again. I'd be surprised if we get another one but you never know! Season 8 Premiere's April 14th. #ForTheThrone
